Duncan Whelan
Operations Manager
Duncan joined the gas industry in 1980 as an apprentice gas service engineer with British Gas and has worked extensively within the gas utilisation side of the industry in domestic, commercial and industrial environments. Undertaking numerous roles throughout his career the key focus has always been safety & customer service.
In 1995 Duncan graduated with a B.Eng (hons) in Buildings Services Engineering and moved into a supervisory management role. In January 1998 Duncan joined the developing gas industry of N.I as a project engineer and subsequently joined Phoenix in September 1999 as Service Operations Manager. Duncan is now Operations Manager of Phoenix Energy Services responsible for delivering the safe operation of the 24 hour first response gas emergency service, asset maintenance and the wide range of service & repair products available to customers.
