Selling your home or renting?
Energy Perfomance Certificates (EPC) are now required if you are selling or renting your property in N. Ireland. An EPC is a detailed inspection of your property carried out by a certified inspector (DEA) to determine the energy efficiency rating of the home.
The Energy Efficiency Rating is calculated using a system called Recued Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RDSAP) that determines the rating of the home on a scale from A to G. A being the most energy efficient and hence least costly to heat, and G being the most inefficient and hence most costly to heat.
The inspection takes approximately one hour to complete with the certificate available within days. Details are held on a central database to allow you to sell or rent your property legally.
