Stormont Show for the love of fashion

12 November 2014

Around 200 people will have the unique opportunity of attending a world class fashion show in the exclusive venue of The Great Hall, Stormont on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December.

UUP MLA Jo-Anne Dobson has been the driving force behind bringing the show to the iconic venue, to showcase the work of leading Northern Ireland fashion designer Geraldine Connon.

Geraldine has 30 years’ experience in the fashion industry and will be working alongside an award winning team including hair stylist Shane Bennett and makeup artist Oonagh Boman. The talented trio will combine to put on a show stopping evening that will ooze originality and inspire the imagination of the audience.

Geraldine Connon commented;

“This year I celebrate 30 years in business, it has been an adventure and extremely hard work, but also a very enriching life. This one off show will be a showcase of Northern Ireland’s creative talents and provides a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community with all of the proceeds in aid of the Energy for Children Charitable Trust.”

Phoenix Natural Gas is the sponsor of the Stormont show and Group Chief Executive, Michael McKinstry, commented;

“Phoenix has a long history of supporting local talent and we are delighted to be able to support Geraldine and the team of designers who are fantastic representatives of our best creative and talented people we have working in Northern Ireland.  This event is a perfect opportunity to showcase their abilities.”

The event will also raise money for the Energy for Children Trust which is administered by Phoenix on behalf of the gas industry.  All administration costs associated with the Trust are met by Phoenix so that every penny raised goes directly to local disadvantaged children and to date the charity has helped over 5,000 kids.
